The Canva Support Retainer is a continuous, monthly partnership that keeps your Canva environment running long after implementation is complete. It comes in three tiers (Enhanced, Managed, and Concierge) and scales by how much monthly support you need. A dedicated ZOODESIGN consultant works to an agreed monthly allocation of time that your team draws on across everything Canva; consultation and advice, troubleshooting and admin support, training for new team members, ongoing template recreations, and custom design work. Every request is acknowledged within one business day, with a realistic turnaround confirmed at that point, and work proceeds while you have time remaining for the month.

What you get

Enhanced - light-touch ongoing upkeep:

  • A monthly allocation of 16 hours of ZOODESIGN time, used flexibly across support, templates, and design.
  • Priority troubleshooting and support for Canva use, admin, and permissions.
  • Ad hoc consultation and "how do I…" guidance.
  • Template recreations and custom design as needs arise, within your allocation.
  • Training for new team members as it comes up, within your allocation.
  • A monthly summary of time used and remaining.

Managed - everything in Enhanced, plus:

  • A larger monthly allocation of 32 hours, for regular template and design output.
  • A dedicated consultant who knows your brand and account.
  • A proactive monthly check-in to plan the month ahead.
  • Scheduled (in consultation with you) new-cohort training as your team grows.

Concierge - everything in Managed, plus:

  • Our largest monthly allocation of 64 hours, effectively an embedded design partner.
  • Fortnightly check-ins and a quarterly strategic review of your Canva setup.
  • A dedicated account lead alongside your consultant.
  • A new-starter onboarding flow kept current as your team changes.

Note: Work is drawn from your monthly allocation and proceeds while time remains. Once your time for the month is used, the retainer pauses until it resets the following month, or you can top up or commission a separate project at any point. Unused time rolls over up to 100% of your monthly allocation and expires after 90 days. The retainer runs monthly on a rolling 3-month term and can be adjusted at your regular review.

Exclusions
  • Initial Canva setup: Brand Kit build, account structure, permissions, and migration. This is the Enterprise Implementation service, a separate one-off engagement.
  • Work beyond your monthly allocation: Once your time for the month is used, the retainer pauses until it resets; additional time can be topped up, and large or complex projects are quoted separately.
  • Unused time beyond the 100% rollover cap, and any rolled-over time older than 90 days.
  • Brand strategy, identity development, and brand design.
  • Hard costs: paid Canva subscription, licensed fonts, premium stock, commissioned photography or illustration, and printing.
  • Production requiring tools beyond Canva: Special print finishes (e.g. foil, emboss, spot-UV), print-ready pre-press, source-file-only deliverables, or other platform builds (quoted separately where required).

Unlike a one-off consultation, most of your retainer work is delivered right inside Canva. New and recreated templates, Brand Kit updates, and custom designs are built natively in your Canva account as editable, on-brand templates your whole team can use and reuse, and everything created is yours to keep.

Some of the retainer is advisory or hands-on support, consultation, troubleshooting, and training, which won't always produce a template, and that's by design. It's there to keep your team confident and your account healthy between design jobs.

A paid Canva subscription is required to access and edit your account.
